Weesgaard Mechanical Support about to finish its largest project in Hirtshals so far

The local company Weesgaard Mechanical Support is currently finishing a three-week project on the research vessel Dana. During the project, Dana has been located alongside quay at the Port of Hirtshals. For Weesgaard Mechanical Support this project has been the first job of this size at the location the Port of Hirtshals.

Peter Weesgaard says about the project:
- It has been great to work at our own port and to have full activity at our workshop on Safirvej in Hirtshals. Normally, the majority of our job is done in other locations, so it has been great to be able to service the customers in our community. We have a lot of projects in Norway for Norwegian customers, and our experience tells us that they have a very positive opinion about Danes. It would be great, if we could use our competences to help attract new customers to the Port of Hirtshals for the benefit of both our own company and other service companies at the port.

2017 is going to be full speed ahead with lots of projects for Weesgaard Mechanical Support, which already now has a full calendar for the first three months. Among other things, the company will be making total overhauls on four MAK engines, one Wärtsilä engine and one Bergen K engine. Therefore, the first quarter of 2017 looks very positive for Weesgaard Mechanical Support.

Weesgaard Mechanical Support's good results and success among the Norwegians customers and latest Dana can be ascribed to the employees. Furthermore, Weesgaard Mechanical Support is also member of Hirtshals Service Group, which is a commercial interest group consisting of companies at the Port of Hirtshals that all work together to attract more service jobs to the port.
