Jackon establishes packaging factory at the Port of Hirtshals

In connection with Hav Line establishing a salmon terminal at the industrial wharf at the Port of Hirtshals, Jackon Denmark, subsidiary of the Norwegian industrial group Jackon, is establishing a packaging factory at the port. The factory will supply Hav Line with EPS-boxes for the transportation of their salmon.

Stein Trygsland, CEO of Jackon Group, has the following comments on the new factory in Hirtshals:
- We have had a close collaboration with Hav Line in establishing our production in Hirtshals, and that has helped us optimize the cut surfaces between the box production and salmon packaging. It is important for us to be part of the future focus that Hav Line is putting on transport, packaging and distribution of high-quality salmon.

Jackon's new and highly automated factory will be located immediately next to Hav Line's terminal, and it is planned to be ready for production in the second half of 2018, which is also when Hav Line will put their factory-transport vessel "Norwegian Gannet" and their salmon terminal into operation.

Jackon has production facilities several places in Norway, and with the factory in Hirtshals, the Group will be able to supply Hav Line, the local fishing industry as well as the entire fishing industry in Europe, the latter of which is an important segment for the Jackon Group.
